Heather and her Feathers

Recently I made this plushie for a special Kris Kindle art swap.

She's wearing a bird costume, a cape made from feather-pattern material that you can take on or off.
To get across the bird costume theme I also made a beak/hat. The cape was certainly the hardest part, I don't often make clothes. I ending up having to make a lot of corrections but it was worth it in the end!

Here she is next to the design I based her off.

Blue Lady Plush

Its a little while since I made one of my lovely lady plushes. I finished her a couple of weeks ago and I was trying to decided what to do with her. I think I like this one too much to sell. I have her hanging on my wall and I'm not ready to give her away. Maybe in a little while, when I've made something to replace her on my wall...

Anyway, down to the details. I made her with felt and flannel that I hand dyed blue, and she has an embroidered face and blushed cheeks from the cold.

Music Lovers

I forgot to post up this screen print when I did it last year. I made about 4 of them I think, as you can see the print was a little noisey so I didn't make very many copies. As a bonus, cos this is old (..even though its new to the blog) I've added a sketch I made which is of late:

Red Riding Hood Tea Cosy

This is a special red riding hood tea cosy I made for a christmas present. Haven't had the chance to upload it till now. You are looking at two sides to the same cosy. That wolf ain't ever going to catch little red.

It was the first time making a cosy, which I found challenging. I like how it turned out though and I'm thinking of making a few more on different themes.

I made it using a linen cotton mix, fleece, felt and polyfill stuffing.

Hoodie Girl

She's a hoodie who is interesting and sweet. she likes to hang out with other hoodies like the red hoodie boy below.

Made with fleece, felt and some other random materials. I had to use glue for some of her features because they were just to tiny for sowing.
