Heather and her Feathers

Recently I made this plushie for a special Kris Kindle art swap.

She's wearing a bird costume, a cape made from feather-pattern material that you can take on or off.
To get across the bird costume theme I also made a beak/hat. The cape was certainly the hardest part, I don't often make clothes. I ending up having to make a lot of corrections but it was worth it in the end!

Here she is next to the design I based her off.

Lumberjack

This lumberjack has been waiting for me to finish him for quite a while. He's happy now he's all put together with a frame and a hill and everything.

My submission for the Animation Art Show in Dublin! It's in aid of couple of great charities, check out the facebook page for more details. The entries so far look brilliant!

The pieces will be on display in the Science Gallery for the first weekend of November with the auction taking place on the 3rd.

And thanks to Ciaran (who also did a submission, its aces) for the frame, paint/paper help and carving a special wooden hook!

Blossom Bunny

This is a little picture I embroidered on to wool felt. Its bunny, with a bird and a blossom tree. It's also an unashamedly girly picture :)

The piece is 17 x 13 cm. I think it would look lovely in a little frame, (or if not framed I could back it with another piece of felt which I will do if its requested.) Its available now in my Etsy and Dawanda shop (link on the right).

Tree-boy

This is my second elf creation, a tree elf, or tree-boy as its now known.

I think this is probably one of my best sown plushies from a technical point of view. The sketch of the design I made up for him is below.
Fleece, felt and a lovely leaf button.

And he is now available in my etsy shop: happy-plush-plush!

Red Hen

This was a commissioned piece. The brief was to design and make a red hen plushie. I wanted to push myself on this one so I decided to make it more 3 dimensional then previous designs and to use a wire frame.

I made and corrected many mistakes along the way, but I'm happy enough with the outcome.

I added the extras of the ribbion and rose at the end after asking if it was wanted. I also decided to give it a bottom, it is a hen after all!
